
The anonymous cryptocurrency network Firo (formerly known as Zcoin) has been hit by a 51% attack. Coindesk reports. The Firo team is currently negotiating with exchanges and pools. Users are strongly advised not to make transactions on the Firo network. The developers also reported testing a solution “which could have prevented an attack, but it was several weeks before its deployment.” The coin’s price has dropped by about 17% in the last 24 hours. Firo recently launched a new protocol on the mainnet to improve anonymity called Lelantus. Last November, the anonymous cryptocurrency Grin was attacked by 51%.
