A resident of Penza took part in a survey on investments in cryptocurrency and decided to invest in digital assets himself. In the course of communication with an unknown person who introduced himself as a financial analyst, a Russian born in 1966 decided on additional income in the form of crypto trading. He agreed that at the first stage, the caller would buy the tokens himself. To do this, the man transferred 50,000 rubles to the details indicated by the swindler. In addition, a Penza resident registered on the website of one trading platform. The fraudster explained to him that supposedly all transactions will be carried out on this platform. Having sent money, the victim waited for the cryptocurrency to be purchased for him. However, he no longer saw either tokens or his own money. As a result, the victim went to the police. Ministry of Internal Affairs officers opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud and began to look for a suspect, reports the Regional News Agency of the Penza Region. Note that this is not the first case of crypto scams in our country. Residents of many Russian regions who want to buy bitcoin or some other digital currency become victims of swindlers.
