The Bank of Russia has identified the regions with the most inaccessible mortgage




MOSCOW, 5 Mar – PRIME. According to the results of January, the republics of Chechnya, Ingushetia and Tyva became subjects of the Russian Federation with the highest average cost of servicing a mortgage, according to statistics from the Bank of Russia. So, on average, in the Russian Federation at the beginning of the year, clients of Russian banks took out mortgages at 7.23% per annum, which is slightly less than in December: then loans cost an average of 0.13 percentage points more. At the same time, in the two constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which led this “anti-rating”, the average rate exceeded 8% per annum: residents of Chechnya could get a loan at an average of 8.06%, and Ingushetia – at 8.03%. Tyva did not lag behind too much: there the loan cost an average of 7.99%. Some home Internet users will be disconnected in the coming days On the other hand, the most affordable loans due to preferential programs were expected in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District: Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (4 , 98%), Primorsky Krai (5.89%) and Yakutia (5.94%). In the Far East, there is a special mortgage program at 2%. Russian banks increased mortgage lending last year by 21.2%, as a result of which the total debt of citizens on loans for the purchase of housing for the first time exceeded 9 trillion rubles. This year, the Bank of Russia expects mortgage lending growth to slow down to 16-20%, and in 2022-2023 it expects mortgage lending to grow by 14-18% annually.
